At LDJ, We understand that the role of the modern homebuilder is constantly evolving. To deliver lasting value for our clients, we do more than just build — we listen, guide, and problem-solve. Our approach goes beyond construction; it's about understanding our clients' goals, needs, and constraints, as well as the unique characteristics and opportunities of each property.

At the core of our leadership is a simple belief — the best homes are built together.

Colin Jones, M.Eng B.Sc

For Colin, building homes has always been part of family life. A third-generation home builder, he grew up working in LDJ, the company founded by his father, Lorne. Weekends and school breaks spent helping on job sites gave him a hands-on foundation and an early appreciation for the care, craftsmanship and relationships behind every home.

As a varsity soccer athlete at UBC, Colin learned lessons that continue to shape his leadership: trust your teammates, prepare well and work through challenges together. He credits his upbringing in sport as one of the strongest influences on his approach to business, bringing clients, architects, designers and trades together around a shared vision.

With a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Engineering, Colin combines practical building experience with an analytical mindset. His interest in AI, process improvement and thoughtful planning reflects his commitment to making the building experience more organized, efficient and rewarding for clients.

Outside work, Colin and his wife are raising four young children. Weekends are often spent cheering on his daughters at dance competitions, enjoying time at the lake and, above all, being together as a family. Those moments keep the purpose of his work close to home: creating places where families can grow, gather and make memories for years to come.
